Margarita 3-2-1 Splash!

Ingredients 3 oz Tequila* 2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice** 1 oz orange liquer*** "splash" of orange juice ice margarita salt Equipment - pastry brush or a dedicated makeup brush for lime juice painting. Directions 1. Dip your brush in the lime juice and paint a small 1/4 inch border around the outside of your tequila glass. Dip the edge of the glass in the margarita salt, rotating until the entire rim is coated. 2. Place tequila, lime juice, orange liquer and OJ in a blender or small cup of a Nutribullet. Add some ice - more or less, depending on how much you want to water it down. Blend on high until frothy. Pour, serve, enjoy! Notes This recipe is easily doubled, tripled, etc. Just remember the 3:2:1 ratio * Tequila - I prefer Herradura Silver ** Lime juice and lemon juice keep for quite a while. I fill a bottle of each every week or so, and then it's just there in the fridge ready to go when I need it. (well, OK, actually, this is one of my husband's weekly kitchen duties.... but I CAUSE it to happen) *** I prefer Patron Citronge, but Cointreau works well too. Credits: JenniferJacobs, and also, a lovely waitress at Pedro's in Kennebunk who helped me come up with this formula. Tags: tequila, cocktails
